Career Path Map

 

At Morgan Hunt, we recognise that when it comes to developing your career, individuals have different expectations, motivations and aspirations. Development is a natural evolution and there is opportunity for progression whether it is within their existing role or as part of developing a career path in the organisation.

Morgan Hunt offers two key routes of progression for Senior Consultant level or above:

1) the traditional route to managing a team; or
2) refining and developing your sales skills, increasing your billing potential and becoming an expert in your field.

Each employee will have a personal career development plan and the opportunity to identify and set objectives over a 6 to 12 month period. These plans will be reviewed on a monthly or quarterly basis.

Route 1: Principal Consultant > Executive Consultant

This career route focuses on those who may prefer not to manage a team, or perhaps are not ready to manage others yet, but enjoy the sales role and want to become a better consultant. Principal and Executive Consultants are high billers, experts in their field and with in-depth knowledge of their market. Core skills are developed and perfected through this career path, which includes presentational skills, negotiating skills, client interaction, product knowledge (including master vendor and value-added services) and advanced sales skills. There is also the opportunity to increase commission earnings.

Route 2: Team Manager > Senior Manager > Divisional Director

This route focuses on developing staff and building the business. Managers are targeted on developing consultants and increasing the income of the team as a whole. An extensive Management Development training programme provides current and future managers with the skills necessary to support them and their team and manage their business area effectively. The training is centred on inspiring and developing people, planning ahead and commerciality.

In addition, our senior management development programme focuses on creating a results driven environment, driving high performance in the organisation.
